ABOUT
BROOKS ENGINEERING was founded in 2001, by Jeffrey D. Brooks, P.E. to provide Electrical Engineering and Control System Design Services to clients in the Middle Tennessee area.
Mr. Brooks began working in the electrical field in 1979 wiring houses and repairing appliances. He worked in the Electrical Trade for ten years as an Electrician, Foreman and Site Supervisor. He served in the US Navy as a Fire Controlman working on the Phalanx anti-ship missile defense system and was Honorably Discharged. Mr. Brooks holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Physics. He is a Registered Engineer in Tennessee.
Since 1994, Mr. Brooks has worked with industrial control system design for manufacturing. He has a extensive knowledge of Allen Bradley control components including the ControlLogix processor line, Powerflex Drives , and Kinetics Motion systems. His projects have included all phases of design and commissioning of control systems.
In addition to Control Systems, Mr. Brooks has been involved with Electrical System Design on Industrial, Commercial and Residential Projects. Coupled with his experience as an Electrician and Electronics Technician, Mr. Brooks can bring a perspective to his designs that few engineers possess.
